Tropica Helanthium bolivianum 'Quadricostatus'

The South American Helanthium 'Quadristatus' has characteristic light green leaves 10 to 15 cm long which provide a great contrast to darker aquarium plants. It looks best when planted in groups, with each rosette reaching 15 to 20 cm wide. Grows well even in rather low light.

In good conditions, it produces stolons that spread across the bottom. Very pale leaves are a sign of a lack of micronutrients. There is some confusion over the name of this plant and it has been sold as Echinodorus bolivianus var. magdalenensis.
