How to acclimatize

Pisces

  1. Let the bags float in your aquarium for 15-30 min so that the water temperature is the same.
  2. Open the bag and pour the water and the fish(es) into a container. 5 gallon buckets are recommended.
  3. Hang an air hose using a clamp on your aquarium connecting to the container. Create a siphon in the pipe and tie a knot to reduce the water flow to 2-3 drops per second. (Drip acclimatization)
  4. Let the acclimatization take place for a period between 45 min and 2 hours. Keep an eye on the fish(es) to make sure they are doing well. Once the salinity and pH are the same, reacclimate your fish to aquarium temperature in a floating water bag in the aquarium.
  5. Introduce the fish(es) into the aquarium using a net. It is important not to put the water from the bags in your aquarium.

Corals

  1. Let the bags float in your aquarium for 15-30 min so that the water temperature is the same.
  2. Open the bag and pour the water and the corals into a container. 5 gallon boilers are recommended.
  3. Hang an air hose using a clamp on your aquarium connecting to the container. Create a siphon in the pipe and tie a knot to reduce the water flow to 2-3 drops per second for 15-30 minutes. (Drip acclimatization)
  4. Use a Coral Dip to clean your coral and remove any parasites that may be present. Follow the recommendations on the bottle of your Dip.
  5. Rinse your coral with aquarium water in a separate container.
  6. Reacclimate the coral to aquarium temperature in a bag of water floating in the aquarium.
  7. Introduce the coral into the aquarium in the recommended location. It is important not to put the water from the bags in your aquarium.
