Tropica Echinodorus 'Pink'

Beautiful plant resulting from the crossing of Echinodorus horemanii 'Rot' and Echinodorus horizontalis. Obtained in 1986 by Hans Barth in Dessau.

The plant grows to 25-40 cm high, the rosette to 15-25 cm wide. Young leaves are a pretty pink, initially covered with reddish-brown spots. A rich soil favors its growth, but otherwise Echinodorus 'Rose' is a plant without any particular requirements. Recommended for beginners. Its large leaves can provide too much shade for smaller plants, in which case, the oldest ones should be removed.
