Tropica Echinodorus 'Red Diamond'

Echinodorus 'Red Diamond' appeared as a crop in Ukraine and is probably a cross between Echinodorus horemanni 'Red' and Echinodorus 'Barthii'. The resulting hybrid is an attractive plant with sword-shaped, ruby ​​red leaves, 15 to 25 cm long.

Unlike many other Echinodorus species, Echinodorus 'Red Diamond' remains moderate in size (rosette 20 to 30 cm wide), so it is extremely suitable as a solitary plant, even in small aquariums. Increasing nutrients in the substrate results in more abundant growth, while favorable lighting conditions promote the formation of ruby ​​red leaves.
