Tropica Ceratopteris thalictroides

Ceratopteris is a common fern in the tropics, it reaches 15 to 30 cm in height and 10 to 20 cm in width. Fast growing plant, but may require CO2 inputs. Planted in a small open container it can emerge and display its leaves or behave like a floating plant. Leaves with fine, very decorative branches which form a beautiful contrast with other plants.
Intense light accelerates its growth and makes it a good means of controlling algae, as it absorbs nutrients in the water. Ceratopteris thalictroides makes a good starter plant for small aquariums.
