Seachem Stability

Stability® will quickly and safely establish the aquarium's biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, preventing the #1 cause of fish death: "New Tank Syndrome". Stability® is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria that aid in the breakdown of organic waste, ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. The bacteria used by Stability® do not fix sulfur and do not produce toxic hydrogen sulphide. Stability® is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, so there is no risk of overuse.

The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development are within a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc. When any of these parameters is not strictly within the appropriate range, the bacterial culture quickly collapses and dies. Stability® is not limited in this way. The conditions necessary for the growth of Stability's™ bacterial strains encompass a very wide range. When other bacteria begin to die off (usually due to high organic loads caused by the undetected death of an organism), Stability™ simply becomes more effective.
