Dennerle Alternanthera Reineckii 'Purple'

The bright purple colour of the lower part of the leaves of this species is the origin of its name. The upper part of the leaves is burgundy to dark red. In good lighting, the shoots are very low and have closely spaced leaves. Due to its rather slow growth, this splendidly coloured stem plant is also suitable for the medium plan. However, it must be regularly pruned so that the background plants are not covered. A nutrient-rich background substrate and a good supply of CO2 are the guarantees for successful aquarium cultivation.
