Why CO2 injection is important in a planted tank

There are 3 main factors for optimal growth of aquatic plants,
Light, carbon dioxide (CO2) and nutrients.

The absence or deficiency of any of these 3 factors will result in algae growth or wilting of your aquatic plants. Introducing CO2 into a planted aquarium allows plants to flourish and grow to their best potential, while giving them the ability to outcompete algae.

No matter what type of planted aquarium setup you have, we recommend CO2 injection for better aquarium plant growth.

Plants in nature have continuous access to unlimited CO2. Inside an aquarium, access to them is defined and limited by your aquarium settings, making pressurized CO2 systems essential for aquatic plant growth.

How to prepare your Aquario Neo Co2 kit

1. Put 300ml warm water (about 40~50℃) into the container.
2. After closing the cap, shake at least 100 times until well mixed.

3. Let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours, it will turn into jelly.
DO NOT shake or disturb the jelly.

4. Put in 2 Neo co2 Bio sachets. (1 for tanks less than 10 gallons)

5. Purify slowly in 1 cup (about 200ml) warm water (40~50℃.) DO NOT SHAKE!
Wait 10 to 15 minutes for the foam to disappear.
Clean the neck of the container before closing the cap.
Make sure no mixture is pushed into the line.

6. Place washer and cap, close tightly, connect supplied co2 line and diffuser.

When you notice that less Co2 is being produced (after about 15 to 20 days), pour off the top of the meter.
Only the water section, DO NOT throw away the jelly.
Repeat steps 4 through 6.

Caution:

• Never disconnect the hose or open the cap until CO2 is generated. This significantly delays or disables co2 generation.
• Never shake once the contents have turned into jelly.
• Never use valves to control the amount and duration of Co2 generation.
• The amount of Co2 slowly decreases over time
• The result of normal fermentation, the liquid on the jelly smells like dirty wine.
• Below 15℃, Co2 cannot be produced
• When the hose or diffuser is stuck with the contents by user negligence, please stop using it and carefully open the cap in a place like the bathroom. And connect the syringe to the pipe and remove the contents. After that, dip it in the bleach thinner.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
